THIS WEEK! Open Houses for Prospective Families Start spreading the word! We will be holding two Open Houses for prospective families in January and we’d love to fill the halls with new friends! The first Open House will take place on Sunday, January 28 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, immediately following our Parish/School Mass and Coffee Hour. The second Open House will take place on Tuesday, January 30 from 9:30-11:00 AM. Please share with friends and family!


THIS WEEK! School/Parish Mass and Coffee Hour Please join our school and parish family on Sunday, January 28 at the 10:00 AM mass, followed by a Coffee Hour immediately after! This is a great time to reconnect with friends after the busy holiday season! All students who attend mass in uniform will receive a Free Dress pass for Tuesday, February 6.




Auction News! – The 14th Annual St. Christopher School Auction… “Under the Sea: Dive into St. Chris”…will take place on March 24, 2018! We are currently looking for item donations, program advertisements, and sponsors for this amazing event. This is a great opportunity for businesses to reach over 250 potential patrons! Ask your barber, talk with your dry cleaner, reach out to your dog groomer….almost any local business is happy to participate! Businesses can get involved through:


Item Donations – Item donations are at the heart of the evening’s action! We need over 200 items to make the night a success! Businesses are welcome to send along business cards, brochures, or other information for display with any item they may donate.


Sponsorships -- Sponsorships run from $250 to $5,000 and include many perks, like Auction tickets and at-event promotions.


Advertising -- Program advertising runs from $50 to $250. Every Auction attendee receives a program for the evening. Because the program describes EVERY Live Auction item in detail, these are guaranteed to be read by everyone!

NEXT WEEK! Catholic Schools Week Our celebration of Catholic Schools Week begins this Sunday, January 28 at the Parish/School Mass and Coffee Hour and runs through the following Friday, February 2! NEW! THIS WEEK! Catholic Schools Week Speakers & Mass RepresentativesWe have two great opportunities to promote St. Chris at local parishes this weekend and are looking for volunteers to help:

Speakers at St. Christopher Parish Masses – Fr. Kelley has invited the school to provide a student speaker (in school uniform) to present a prepared 2-3 minute speech at each of St. Christopher’s masses this weekend. The mass schedule includes Saturday, January 27 at 4:00 PM and Sunday, January 28 at 8:00 and 10:00 AM.


Information Table Representatives at Immaculate Conception Parish – Fr. Ray has invited Catholic schools from around Nashua to set up informational tables in the lobby of Immaculate Conception Parish. We would like to have a family stand at our St. Chris table to greet interested parishioners and answer any questions! Masses are Saturday at 5:00 PM and Sunday at 7:30 and 9:00 AM (the 11:00 AM mass is already covered!). Families would need to arrive approximately 20 minutes before mass and remain 15 minutes or so after mass to talk with parishioners.

Special Note: Our Catholic School Week service project will be a Brown Bag collection for Corpus Christi Food Pantry. Empty bags with a suggested shopping list will be sent home with oldest and only children this week! Please be as generous as possible…the Food Pantry has moved and needs to refill their shelves!


NEW! Restaurant Event: Many thanks to our friends at Burton's Grill at the Pheasant Lane Mall for supporting our community Restaurant Event during Catholic Schools Week! As they so kindly did last year, Burton's will donate 20% of every St. Chris bill during Catholic Schools Week back to the school (excluding alchohol)! To make the effort easier for Burton's, please bring the flyer HERE with you if possible, or tell your server that you are there to support St. Chris. Financial Aid Applications for 2018-2019 – Applications for Financial Aid for the 2018-2019 school year are now open. All oldest and only students were sent home with a packet of information regarding the Financial Aid process before Christmas vacation. The packet can also be accessed HERE. Please read the information carefully. All families interested in financial aid MUST follow the packet instructions or aid will not be given.

Special Note: Financial aid from the Children’s Scholarship Fund is awarded on a first come, first served basis, so parents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to maximize their award potential!


NEW! PARISH SUPPORT -- If your child is entering grades 1 through 6 and you are an active member of a parish within the Diocese of Manchester, you may be eligible for Parish Support.  The Diocesan Support Program requires the timely identification of families who meet the minimum diocesan support criteria and qualify for the supported student tuition rate.  The minimum support criteria include:

1. registration in a parish or mission;

2. contributor of record in a parish or mission; and,

3. active participation in the life of a parish or mission.

All three criteria must be met and verified by the Pastor as indicated by his signature on the Supported Student Form. The form should also be stamped with the parish seal.  It is the responsibility of the parent, after the signature of the pastor is obtained, to return the signed form to the school by March l, 2018. Supported Student forms are available HERE or from Jackie Langenfeld at the school office.

If your child received the supported student rate for the 2017-18 school year, you do not need to fill out another Supported Student Form.  The names of those students currently supported will be forwarded to the pastors, and the pastors will notify the school whether or not the student is still eligible for support.  The school will then notify the parents of the pastor’s decision.

NEW! Faith Outreach Committee Meeting The Faith Outreach Committee will be meeting this Friday, January 26 at 8:45 AM in the library. Topics for the meeting include upcoming Lenten activities, the adopted religious program, and next year’s Vocation Day. Please join us!


2018-2019 Registration – All parents of students currently in grades 2 through 5 have been sent an email with a link to the registration form for 2018-2019. The deadline of January 31 is coming quickly! Please submit the online registration form by that date, along with a $160 registration fee to be paid online at the time of registration. Please know that students whose registrations are returned after that date will not be guaranteed a seat for next year.


Special Note: Parents often ask why registration occurs so early in the school year….good question! The primary reason is to help the school create a realistic budget for the coming year, including a reasonable tuition rate. Our budget is due to the Diocese in mid winter and we must base this budget on the current number of confirmed registrations for the upcoming year. By registering early, we can accurately portray how many students will be enrolled and then set the tuition accordingly to meet our anticipated costs. So, in essence, by registering early, our parents help themselves by keeping tuition rates at a reasonable level! We appreciate all those who help us with this process!


NEW! Box Tops -- Calling all Box Tops! Please submit the Box Tops your family has been collecting. Our next submission is right around the corner and every clipped Box Top earns money for St. Chris. The Box Top collection bin located next to the computer classroom. Many thanks!

Annual Fund – 120 donors have contributed to the Annual Fund so far this year…..thank you to all who have participated! Donations have ranged from $1 up to $2,500 and we are grateful for each and every gift!  All donations, no matter the size, are important, so we ask you to prayerfully consider supporting the Annual Fund at whatever financial level you are comfortable. We’d love to have 100% participation from our families! Support of the Annual Fund on a yearly basis is vital to providing the ongoing high academic standards of St. Chris…it is what allows us to go above and beyond and nurture our students to become lifelong learners and leaders!

Ash Wednesday Hot Lunch: The Hot Lunch offered for Ash Wednesday, February 14, is Apple Pancakes and Sausage. Please know that sausage will not be served that day in observance of Ash Wednesday norms. Home fries will replace the sausage.
