Thank You! This week’s thank you’s go to our students and teachers for the amazing job they have done on our classroom projects for Saturday’s Auction! These are BY FAR the best set of Auction projects we have ever had!

We would also like to thank La Hacienda and Burton’s Grill for their support during our Catholic Schools Week Dining Challenge. If you’ll remember, both restaurants stepped in to host us when the 99 backed out at the last minute. This week, we received $121.41 from La Hacienda and $518.00 from Burton’s in percentage donations from our parent diners. Terrific! And thanks, of course, to all our families who enjoyed dining at these wonderful establishments AND supported St. Christopher School!

And speaking of donations…we’d also like to thank the Knights of Columbus Council 12904 at Immaculate Conception Parish for their $621.85 donation to the school! This donation represented the proceeds from their recent indoor BBQ. We appreciate the Knights support of Catholic education!

TOMORROW! STEM Day and Science Fair Night Our 4th annual STEM Day will be held TOMORROW, March 9 and it promises to be a GREAT day! In the morning, alum Victor Puksta of iRobot will speak to all of our students, followed by sessions in the classrooms by individual speakers. During the afternoon, classrooms will work on their STEM Fair projects.

In the evening, families are strongly encouraged to return to school between 5:30-7:00  PM for the Science Fair. Each classroom has been working on a Science project that they will display in their classrooms during the Fair. In addition, we will have a number of special activities and demonstration stations around the school for hands-on STEM fun and experimentation. STEM is fun! Join us!

THIS WEEK! Early Release THIS Friday, March 10, is an Early Release Day. All students will be released at 12:30 PM and there will be NO After Care. All teachers will be attending a teacher workshop.

NEXT WEEK! Terra Nova Testing Grades 2-6 will be participating in Terra Nova standardized testing from March 13-17. Please make every attempt to avoid scheduling appointments for students during that time, as it is disruptive for everyone if a child comes in late or leaves early. There will be no homework that week so our kids can rest, relax and do their very best.

Uniform Company Change – We are pleased to announce that Red Brick Clothing Company is now the official uniform provider for St. Christopher School. Red Brick is located at 17 Dracut Rd, Hudson, NH 03051. Red Brick's website can be found HERE.

We’re all mad for St. Chris!

It’s finally time for this very important date!

Record Attendance: We are at a record 243 RSVP’s for this Saturday’s Auction! While we had originally capped the seats at 200, the demand for tickets was so great that we worked with Sky Meadow Country Club to expand our use of the clubhouse and to fit everyone…and everything…in! Many thanks to Sky Meadow for their flexibility!

Donations: Thank you, thank you to the many people who either made donations themselves or approached a local business for a donation…the selection of wonderful items is amazing! Private Tours – Our next Open House isn’t until May, but that doesn’t mean potential families can’t come visit us and see what great things St. Christopher School offers them! We love giving private tours to any family interested in joining the St. Chris community! Private tours with the wonderful Jackie Langenfeld can be scheduled for most any time the school is open and we LOVE to have prospective students visit us for a Shadow Day in the classroom! To arrange, please have the prospective families call Jackie at 882-774, ext. 114.

BEGINS THIS WEEK! Stations of the Cross Lent is here! We will be continuing our Lenten tradition here at St. Chris by holding the Stations of the Cross every Friday (except March 17 because we will be attending our St. Patrick’s Day Mass in the morning). Stations are presented by various classes and take place in the morning or afternoon, dependent upon the school schedule for the day. Please check the school calendar for specific times and join us for this most meaningful Lenten observance!

St. Patrick’s Day Free Dress – We’ll be wearin’ the green on March 17! Students are invited to wear their green and white in honor of St. Patrick’s Day on the 17th. Free Dress guidelines apply…see the Parent/Student Handbook for clarification.

Chess Club News: The Chess Club is holding its annual tournament in March. The tournament commences this Friday, March 10th and is expected to run through March 24. Games will be played on Fridays as usual on a point based league system. We encourage everyone to participate and arrive by 7:50AM. All the Club attendees on those days will be tournament participants by default. Absentees on any of the days will lose points. All participants will receive a participation certificate.

Over the last twelve weeks, the Club introduced basic Chess rules and movement of various pieces. It encouraged participants to plan, play, strategize and have fun.

Please contact coordinators Chris ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or Tal ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Did you know? Chess originated before 7th century and played worldwide. It is proven to increase focus, analytical and thinking abilities in children.

Used Book Sale – It may seem a looong ways away, but our Parent Group wanted to remind parents to save used books, cd’s, and dvd’s for the Used Book and Uniform Sale in May! If you are doing a little after-Christmas cleaning (or pre-Spring cleaning?), please keep the sale in mind! We accept donations of both children’s and adult’s book and media. All books and media are sold for 50¢ each and all students will visit the sale! Donations can be brought to the school AFTER April vacation!

NEW! NH CATHOLIC YOUTHFEST – Sometimes, God can seem like nothing more than a subject in school.  We learn about Him, but it can be hard to experience Him and His infinite love.  If you’re searching for God’s powerful love in your life, you’re not alone.  Hundreds of other young people like you come to find God at NH Catholic Youthfest.  It’s a day jam-packed with upbeat worship music, passionate speakers, dynamic Eucharistic adoration, and sharing your faith journey with your friends.  The St. Chris Youth Group is putting together a group of Nashua-area middle schoolers to attend this powerful experience of God, and we’re inviting all St. Chris sixth graders to join us.

Youthfest will be held at St. Anselm College on Saturday, May 6th from 9am to 6:30pm.  Permission forms and cost ($35) are due to the office on Friday April 7th, in an envelope marked “Attn: Emily Murphy – Youthfest.”   Permission slips can be found at under “NH CATHOLIC YOUTHFEST.” For any questions email Emily Murphy
