Thank You! This week’s thank you’s go to Jenn Lang, Heather Fauteux, Sue Forsyth, and Carol Fiore for their patience and organization with last week’s Yearbook group photo day! Getting all of those kids to stand still at the same time is no easy task! And thanks to Julie Prangley, Gloria Sheehan, and all of our teachers for getting the kids where they needed to be at the right time!

THIS WEEK! Progress Reports – Due to the number of snow days this winter, we have postponed Progress Report distribution until TODAY, Wednesday, February 22. Signed Progress Reports will be due back to school by THIS Friday, February 24.

NEW! Early Release Reminder – Friday, March 10, is an Early Release Day. All students will be released at 12:30 PM and there will be NO After Care. All teachers will be attending a teacher workshop.

NEW! Lifetouch Spring Photos – Our Lifetouch Spring Portraits will be taken on Wednesday, March 8! As in the past, Spring portrait day is a Dress UP Day…students should wear their best Spring outfits (dressy jeans are acceptable). Please note that there will be NO makeup day for the Spring portraits.

Registrations OVERDUE -- If you have not yet completed the online registration for any child who will be a student at St. Christopher School in Fall 2018, your registration is now overdue. We are currently drafting our budget for the next school year and tuition is based on the number of enrolled students for 2018. Because late registrations can not be counted towards our enrollment numbers in the budget, every late registration causes our tuition rate to be higher. If you are intending to send your child/children to the school in the Fall but have not registered, please contact Marta at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for an updated online link. For further registration or financial aid information, please contact Mrs. Clarke at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Uniform Company Change – We are pleased to announce that starting March 1, Red Brick Clothing Company will be the official uniform provider for St. Christopher School. Red Brick is located at 17 Dracut Rd, Hudson, NH 03051. Red Brick's website can be found HERE.

NEW! STEM Day and Science Fair Night – Our 4th annual STEM Day will be held on March 9 and it promises to be a GREAT day! In the morning, alum Victor Puksta of iRobot will speak to all of our students, followed by sessions in the classrooms by individual speakers. During the afternoon, classrooms will work on their STEM Fair projects.

In the evening, families are strongly encouraged to return to school between 5:30-7:00  PM for the Science Fair. Each classroom has been working on a Science project that they will display in their classrooms during the Fair. In addition, we will have a number of special activities and demonstration stations around the school for hands-on STEM fun and experimentation. STEM is fun! Join us!

NEW! After Care on Fridays during Lent – The parish is once again holding their terrific Fish Dinners on Fridays during Lent, so our After Care will be relocated to 1st grade on all Fridays during Lent. Please go to the 1st grade doors to pick up your children!

NEW! Terra Nova Testing Grades 2-6 will be participating in Terra Nova standardized testing from March 13-17. Please make every attempt to avoid scheduling appointments for students during that time, as it is disruptive for everyone if a child comes in late or leaves early. There will be no homework that week so our kids can rest, relax and do their very best!

NEW! Annual FundOnly 1 month left to have your donation listed on the Honor Roll of Donors! Gifts received by March 31, 2017 will appear on the Honor Roll that is distributed to parents, friends, and alumni of St. Chris as part of our summer News and Notes publication. Donations of all sizes are welcome…but most of all, we appreciate your participation! At this time, we have received 119 gifts totaling just over $28,000…thank you to all who have donated! Donations may be sent in to the school office or mailed to the school office to the attention of Mrs. Clarke. Donations can also be made quickly and easily online HERE!

NEW! Yearbook News It’s time to think about the Yearbook! The Yearbook is a school-wide memento of the year here at St. Chris and is a wonderful keepsake for students in all grades. The Yearbook News flyer in today's paper News includes information on advertising, personal messages, and ordering copies of the book. Need another copy of the Yearbook News? Click HERE!

NEW! Private Tours – Our next Open House isn’t until May, but that doesn’t mean potential families can’t come visit us and see what great things St. Christopher School offers them! We love giving private tours to any family interested in joining the St. Chris community! Private tours with the wonderful Jackie Langenfeld can be scheduled for most any time the school is open and we LOVE to have prospective students visit us for a Shadow Day in the classroom! To arrange, please have the prospective families call Jackie at 882-774, ext. 114.

Neighborhood ParkingPlease pay close attention to parking rules around the school! As a neighborhood school, we are obligated to be good to those who live near us. Several of the streets surrounding the school have posted No Parking zones (especially Reservoir St. and the school side of Cushing Ave.) that we must pay attention to. A recent email from one neighbor on Reservoir St. expressed great frustration that parents are parking in a No Parking zone at pick-up time and during school events…and she will be calling the police to come ticket those individuals if they continue to park there. Please help us maintain good relationships with our neighbors!

NEXT WEEK! February Vacation! –Have a wonderful Winter Vacation next week, February 25 through March 5!

New! Stations of the Cross – Once we return from Winter Vacation, Lent will be here! We will be continuing our Lenten tradition here at St. Chris by holding the Stations of the Cross every Friday (except March 17 because we will be attending our St. Patrick’s Day Mass in the morning). Stations are presented by various classes and take place at either 9:15 AM or 2:15 PM, dependent upon the school schedule for the day. Please check the school calendar for specific times and join us for this most meaningful Lenten observance!

NEW! St. Patrick’s Day Free Dress – We’ll be wearin’ the green on March 17! Students are invited to wear their green and white in honor of St. Patrick’s Day on the 17th. Free Dress guidelines apply…see the Parent/Student Handbook for clarification.

NEW! Chess Club News: The Chess Club is planning to hold its annual tournament in March. The tournament commences on March 10th and is expected to run through March 24. Games will be played on Fridays as usual on a point based league system. We encourage everyone to participate and arrive by 7:50AM. All the Club attendees on those days will be tournament participants by default. Absentees on any of the days will lose points. All participants will receive a participation certificate.

Over the last twelve weeks, the Club introduced basic Chess rules and movement of various pieces. It encouraged participants to plan, play, strategize and have fun.

Please contact coordinators Chris ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or Tal ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) if you have any questions. If you haven't received emails previously with Chess Club updates, we don't have your email address. Please provide.

Did you know? Chess originated before 7th century and played worldwide. It is proven to increase focus, analytical and thinking abilities in children.

Used Book Sale – It may seem a looong ways away, but our Parent Group wanted to remind parents to save used books, cd’s, and dvd’s for the Used Book and Uniform Sale in May! If you are doing a little after-Christmas cleaning (or pre-Spring cleaning?), please keep the sale in mind! We accept donations of both children’s and adult’s book and media. All books and media are sold for 50¢ each and all students will visit the sale! Donations can be brought to the school AFTER April vacation!

St. Christopher Parish Bulletin – Check out what’s happening at St. Christopher Parish this week by reading the weekly bulletin online at http://www.stchrisparishnh.org/!

The volunteer and shopper schedules can be found on the Hot Lunch page of the website. If you are unable to work a day you are scheduled, please try to find a replacement.
