Thank You! This week’s thank you’s go to all of our teachers and parents who helped us celebrate a terrific Catholic Schools Week last week! From our faculty planning group to our Ice Cream Sundae scoopers and popcorn poppers, it certainly was a group effort! And that, of course, is what Catholic schools are all about…working together for the benefit of our students! Thank you, thank you!

NEW! Tiger Anti-Bullying Program – Let’s try this yet AGAIN! The Tiger anti-bullying program from Plymouth State will be here to speak to students in grades 1-6 on Thursday, February 14 at 9:15 AM. Let’s hope the third time’s the charm!

Feasibility Study Many thanks to those parents who were able to attend our Feasibility Study Town Hall meeting last week! We enjoyed the lively discussion and are so excited about the future of St. Christopher School! For those of you who could not attend, you can read the survey results HERE . Please read and send any questions to Mrs. Clarke at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Thanks!

NEW! Knights of Columbus Winter BBQ -- The Knights of Columbus Council #13904 will be holding their Winter BBQ at the Immaculate Conception Hall this Saturday, February 11 at 6:30 PM....and all proceeds are benefitting St. Christopher School! We thank the Knights for their support of Catholic education and St. Christopher! Tickets are $14 for adults, $10 for seniors, $7 for children over 5, and free for those under 5. We have tickets available at the school -- simple send in an envelope with payment made to Knights of Columbus 13904 and we will send the tickets home!

Catholic Schools Week Dining Challenge -- La Hacienda Del Rio (4 Taggert Dr, Nashua) is still donating 15% of proceeds from St. Chris supporters (excluding alcohol) from tonight through Thursday of this week! Stop by for some great Mexican food!

We’re all mad for St. Chris!

Just 4 weeks left before the Mad Hatter’s Bash!

Invitations: Don’t be late! This event has sold out in the past and you NEED to be there this year! You can return your RSVP card to school with your child or in the mail or you can register online HERE on the school website!

Seating: Auction seats are preassigned…so the sooner you get your RSVP in, the easier it is for us to seat you with your friends! Have a large group who wants to sit together? No problem! Groups of 10 or 12 people can reserve a table by contacting Ellen Valade at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it (please note: tables are not confirmed until all tickets at the table are paid for…so get those RSVP’s in ASAP!).

Donations: Item donations are KEY to the night’s success! We need over 200 donations for a successful Auction! Items of every size, shape and value are welcome and very much appreciated.  Need a donation idea? Check out the list of suggestions HERE. You can also see the up-to-date list of donations HERE!

Some of this week’s exciting donations are:

TWO Tiffany necklaces!

YMCA 6-month family membership for new members

Birthday Party for 15 at Showcase Performing Arts

6 Studio Fees from You’re Fired!

$100 Shell Gift Card

Business Donations -- How you can help? Perhaps your family business or employer would like to donate an item…it’s great marketing!  And don’t forget to ask the businesses you visit every day…local businesses are much more likely to donate to friendly faces they see on a regular basis! Download a donation form HERE.

Themed Baskets – We LOVE themed baskets at our Auction…they are always such popular items! Baskets are great fun to put together with you family or with a group of friends. Get creative with your theme or check out the Sign-Up Genius with suggested basket themes. You can find the list HERE. Sign up and have some fun with it!

Sponsorships and Advertising are a wonderful way for businesses to support the school AND receive expanded exposure!

Many thanks to our confirmed sponsors for the event:

Red Brick Clothing Co.

The Casey Family

The Wilson Family

We have more sponsorships available! Sponsorships run from $250 to $5,000 and include many perks, like Auction tickets and at-event promotions. Program advertising runs from $50 to $250. For more information on sponsorships, click HERE and HERE for advertising information.

Hot Lunch Ordering – Ordering for March’s Hot Lunch is now open at OrderLunches.com. Be sure to get your order in by February 15…no late orders can be accepted!

STEM Committee Meeting – All are welcome to join the STEM Committee on Monday evening, February 13, for the next STEM meeting. The STEM Day and Fair will be the primary topic of conversation.

STEM Day Speakers -- The STEM Committee is also looking for speakers to talk with our students about their hobbies and/or careers in any STEM-related field. Presentations will be approximately 20-30 minutes in length and speakers would see 3-4 groups of students within a limited grade range on the morning of March 9. Sessions can include biographical information, hands-on exhibits, and/or STEM activities and presenters are welcome to utilize our interactive whiteboards and document cameras! For more information or to volunteer, contact Marta at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Neighborhood Parking – Please pay close attention to parking rules around the school! As a neighborhood school, we are obligated to be good to those who live near us. Several of the streets surrounding the school have posted No Parking zones (especially Reservoir St. and the school side of Cushing Ave.) that we must pay attention to. A recent email from one neighbor on Reservoir St. expressed great frustration that parents are parking in a No Parking zone at pick-up time and during school events…and she will be calling the police to come ticket those individuals if they continue to park there. Please help us maintain good relationships with our neighbors!

NEXT WEEK! Yearbook Group Photos – Lifetouch will be here next Wednesday, February 15 to take group photos of all of our student clubs and organizations (band, chorus, cross country, etc.). They will NOT be taking individual portraits or classroom photos. There will also not be any makeup photos, so please try to have your child here if he or she is involved in a student club or organization.

February No School – Mark the calendar now for NO SCHOOL on Presidents Day, February 20, and Winter Vacation, February 25 through March 5!

Used Book Sale – It may seem a looong ways away, but our Parent Group wanted to remind parents to save used books, cd’s, and dvd’s for the Used Book and Uniform Sale in May! If you are doing a little after-Christmas cleaning (or pre-Spring cleaning?), please keep the sale in mind! We accept donations of both children’s and adult’s book and media. All books and media are sold for 50¢ each and all students will visit the sale! Donations can be brought to the school AFTER April vacation!

NEXT WEEK! Valentines Free Dress – We’ll be wearing our hearts on our sleeves next Tuesday, February 14…Valentine’s Day! Students may wear appropriate red, white, and pink free dress on that day.

Diocese of Manchester Catholic Schools Recognition Awards -- The successes of our Catholic schools and their students would not be possible without the selfless support of our committed educators, administrators, clergy, and lay partners in the community.  This year, the Diocese of Manchester is holding its first annual Recognizing Excellence Awards in June 2017.  At the event, the Diocese will honor the School Leader of the Year, Clergy Member of the Year, Community Partner of the Year and most especially, the Teacher of the Year.  Know someone deserving of an award?
