Thank you! Thank you to the Parent Group for coordinating last weekend’s Family Dance! Such a fun community event…bet those kids slept well Saturday night!

NEW! Thank you from Mrs. ColeI would like to thank the St. Christopher community for their support on my new adventure. Leaving the school was not an easy decision for me, as I have truly loved my time here and this has been such a large and fulfilling chapter in my life.

The faculty, staff, parents, and of course, children have all given me so many wonderful memories to cherish. The time I have spent with your children, watching them grow and blossom over the years, has made my time here at St. Chris very rewarding. We have celebrated accomplishments, worked through challenges, wiped away a tear or two, and shared MANY laughs, and I feel incredibly blessed for all these special times.

Thank you all for the wonderful memories…I will miss you all! Love, Beth Cole

NEW! Admissions News:

We are continuing to look for new families to join our school community for Fall 2018!  History shows that our current happy families are our best resource for bringing in new students and we’d love to partner with YOU in this effort! A number of external factors, including full day Kindergarten in Nashua and other towns, area charter schools, and decreased birth rates make upcoming Admissions efforts very challenging, but very important for keeping our school full of happy children! Please consider helping us bring in new students:

Promote Our Open House for Prospective Students – The Spring Open House for Prospective Students will take place following the Parish/School Mass and Coffee Hour on May 20, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. If you know of someone who is interested in a St. Chris education for their child, this is a GREAT opportunity for them to stop in and take a look around! Our knowledgeable tour guides will show visitors around the school, and Mrs. Clarke and many teachers will be available to answer any questions.  Parents are also welcome to escort any friends or family who are interested in attending the school…and give them the inside scoop on all things St. Chris! Pre-registration is not required for the Open House and it is on a drop-on basis, but parents are welcome to call Jackie Langenfeld for more information at 882-7442, ext. 114.

Are you on Facebook? If so, share our Open House event on your page or on any community group pages you belong to! You can find the event on our school Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/St.ChrisSchoolNH!

Share the good news – What YOU say about our school matters! Potential parents who are looking for a new school spend an enormous amount of time checking out reviews online and are looking to hear from other parents. Take a few minutes and leave a few positive words on any one (or more!) of these popular review websites:

Facebook (You’ll need to be signed in to Facebook first)

Private School Review

Great Schools

Google Reviews (You’ll need to be signed in to a Google account first)

Private Tours – Know someone who can’t make the May 20 Open House?  We love giving private tours to any family interested in joining the St. Chris community! Private tours with the wonderful Jackie Langenfeld can be scheduled for most any time the school is open and we LOVE to have prospective students visit us for a Shadow Day in the classroom! To arrange, please have the prospective families call Jackie at 882-774, ext. 114.

NEW! Expanded Before Care Hours -- Good news for parents who need early Before Care for their children...after April vacation, our Before Care program will open at 6:30 AM! Several parents have requested the earlier morning hours and we are happy to be able to help our working parents. If we find these expanded morning hours are successful, we will consider keeping them for the Fall and exploring the possiblity of extending After Care as well.

NEW! Used Book Sale Planning on doing some Spring cleaning next week?! Our Parent Group will be holding its annual Used Book and Uniform Sale on May 10 and 11, so please put aside those books and uniforms! Collection boxes will be available in the school the week after April vacation. Donations of books, cd’s, dvd’s, and uniforms are most welcome! All students will be visiting the Book Sale on May 11 and parents are welcome, too! Books are 50¢ and all uniform pieces are $2.00.

NEW! Lifetouch Spring Portraits…and a Bike Raffle! – All students received their Spring portrait proof packages last week…and they looked soooo cute! Please remember that if you are not intending on ordering a portrait package, you must return the proof to the school so we can send it back to Lifetouch. If ALL of our parents either order portraits OR return their proof to us by May 18, Lifetouch will give us a new bicycle to be raffled as part of our Field Day festivities!

NEW! Walk to School Day Let’s practice healthy habits and have some fun by walking to school together on May 23! Gather at Sargent Ave Park at by 8:15 AM and walk to school with friends! Parents and friends are welcome to walk with us!

NEW! Volunteer/Parent Brunch As the year comes to a close, the teachers and staff of St. Chris would like to thank all of YOU for everything that you’ve done over the year to make St. Chris such a wonderful place! Please join us for an informal Volunteer/Parent Brunch prepared by our faculty/staff in the lobby immediately following our Walk to School Day event on May 23.  Don’t be modest…just come on by for a cup of coffee, a light brunch buffet, and our thanks!

NEW! BBQ – Our Parent Group is hard at work planning the annual FREE BBQ for all St. Chris families! Mark your calendar for Friday, June 1 and plan on a great time featuring hamburgers, hotdogs and all the sides! This is one BIG party and you aren’t going to want to miss it! Food is served from 5:30 – 7:00 PM! Uber-popular DJ Ryan will be back spinning the tunes!

NEW! May Crowning -- Our traditional May Crowning will be held Friday, May 18 at 9:15 AM. The procession to the church will take place outside, weather permitting, and the ceremony will include the traditional crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth.

We love seeing our logo out and about on everyone’s car!

THIS WEEK! Poetry Slam Our student poets are busily preparing their entries to this year’s annual Poetry Slam! Representatives from all classes will present their creative work THIS Friday, April 20 at 1:45 PM in the Church Hall. Parents are encouraged to attend and should enter through the school lobby.

THIS WEEK! Earth Day Free Dress Not only is THIS Friday, April 20 the last day before Spring Break, but it’s also Earth Day! Many of our classes will be participating in outdoor activities, so students should dress appropriately!

UPDATED! Summer Work Books -- Your child has worked hard and make great academic progress this summer…help him or her keep those skills sharp over the summer! The “Summer Books” program is an opportunity to provide your child with daily grade level review and practice. While not required, these books are highly suggested for all students…not only are they educational, but they are fun, too! One page per day provides a thorough academic review of the year. To order, visit Summer Books online at summerbookcompany.com. UPDATE: The Summer Book is a replacement for the Summer Skills series that we have used in the past. In addition to providing a fantastic review of the school year for their children, parents can also benefit the school financially by using SCS02 school code in the “Voucher” or “Coupon Code” box at check out. St. Chris will receive a portion of every book ordered.

NEW! Hot Weather and Waters The warm weather should be with us soon (we hope!), so parents are reminded to send their student to school every day with a water bottle to help them hydrate when they get warm. Small water bottles will now also be available on our snack cart for 50¢ for those who forget.

NEW! School Store Help Needed We are in need of a 5th grade parent and student to cover our Wednesday and Friday shifts at the School Store until the end of the year! NEW! Faith Outreach Communications Help NeededOur Faith Outreach Committee is looking for someone to help foster our outreach and communications with our wonderful priest and religious friends! Efforts during the year include maintaining email/address lists, communications regarding Vocation Day and other priest and religious visits to the school, and holiday mailings. This is definitely a volunteer effort that can be done primarily at home with the occasional Faith Outreach meeting. If you can help, please contact Mrs. Noon at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or Marta at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Thanks!
