Thank you! Many thanks to all of our parents who attended the Holy Thursday Paraliturgy last Thursday! The 1st grade students who so excited to see so many people come out to support them as they presented their very first religious service for the school!

Standardized Testing -- The Diocese has contracted with another company to replace the Terra Nova test.  The new test is called NWEA. NWEA® is a research-based, not-for-profit organization that supports students and educators worldwide by creating assessment solutions that precisely measure growth and proficiency—and provide insights to help tailor instruction. For 40 years, NWEA has developed Pre-K–12 assessments and professional learning offerings to help advance all students along their optimal learning paths. Their tools are trusted by educators in 145 countries and more than half the schools in the US. We are very pleased with this choice. Testing will happen for grades 2 through 6 the week of April 30 – May 4 with make-ups the following week. More information will be shared with parents as we approach the testing dates.

Spring Uniform Policy – April is here, which means that we have moved into our Spring uniform policy! Boys are allowed to wear the navy blue uniform shorts on non-gym days.

Financial Aid Applications for 2018-2019 – Applications for Financial Aid for the 2018-2019 school year are now open. All oldest and only students were sent home with a packet of information regarding the Financial Aid process before Christmas vacation. Please read the information carefully. All families interested in financial aid MUST follow the packet instructions or aid will not be given. Families must apply to the Children’s Scholarship Fund prior to applying for St. Christopher Financial Aid through FACTS. If your family does not qualify for the Children’s Scholarship Fund as stated in their application process, you may move ahead to applying for St. Chris Financial Aid through FACTS.

Family Dance -- Our Annual Family Dance, coordinated by the Parent Group, will take place on April 14 at St. Patrick’s Gym from 6:00-8:00 PM! This is a great family night with dancing, snacks, raffle prizes, and FUN! Tickets are just $5 per family! A ticket order form can be downloaded HERE.

Poetry Slam – Our student poets are busily preparing their entries to this year’s annual Poetry Slam! Representatives from all classes will present their creative work on Friday, April 20 at 1:45 PM in the Church Hall. Parents are encouraged to attend!

Earth Day Free Dress – Not only is April 20 the last day before Spring Break, but it’s also Earth Day! Many of our classes will be participating in outdoor activities, so students should dress appropriately!

Summer Work Books -- Your child has worked hard and make great academic progress this summer…help him or her keep those skills sharp over the summer! The “Summer Books” program is an opportunity to provide your child with daily grade level review and practice. While not required, these books are highly suggested for all students…not only are they educational, but they are fun, too! One page per day provides a thorough academic review of the year. To order, visit Summer Books online at summerbookcompany.com.

Hot Lunch Ordering – It’s that time again! Hot lunch ordering for May will be open from April 1 through midnight on April 15 on Boonli.com. NEW! Late Pick-Up for After Care -- Please remember that After Care ends promptly at 5:30 PM. Parents should plan accordingly and all children should be picked up by that time, with no exceptions.
