Thank You! Thank you, thank you to Mrs. Ternan for coordinating our Poetry Slam on the Friday before vacation! Our student poets did an amazing job! And thank you to all of the parents who came to support our students!

UPDATED! Diocesan-Wide Event If you have not yet returned the permission slip for the May 16 Consecration event in Manchester, or informed your teacher that your child will not attend, please remember to do one or the other by this Friday, May 5. A permission slip can be downloaded HERE and a notice of absence form can be downloaded HERE – please complete whichever is applicable to your child. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Clarke at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Thank you!

Also, please remember that those students who are not attending the Consecration event will be out of school for the entire day. This is for the children’s safety. All of our kindergarten through grade 6 teachers, as well as most of the staff, will be at the event and we cannot predict what time we will be returning to school. Therefore, there would be no teacher or staff available at the school to supervise children who arrive for the afternoon only. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause!

NEW! CONGRATULATIONS! 6th grade teacher Miss Mary Lou Wefers has been selected as one of three finalists for the St. Jean Baptist de la Salle - 2017 Teacher of the Year Award for the Diocese of Manchester Schools. We are so excited for Miss Wefers to be in the running for this award and are thrilled that she has received the recognition she deserves as an incredible teacher! The award will be presented at the first annual Recognizing Excellence Awards Gala at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord on June 22, 2017. Tickets to the Gala are available online at CatholicSchoolsNH.org/gala for $75. “Shout-out” advertising space is also available in the program with prices ranging from $75 to $200. Open House for Prospective Students – It’s time for our Spring Open House for Prospective Students! It will take place following the Parish/School Mass and Coffee Hour on May 21, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. If you know of someone who is interested in a St. Chris education for their child, this is a GREAT opportunity for them to stop in and take a look around! Our knowledgeable tour guides will show visitors around the school, and Mrs. Clarke and many teachers will be available to answer any questions. We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2017. Pre-registration is not required for the Open House and it is on a drop-on basis, but parents are welcome to call Jackie Langenfeld for more information at 882-7442, ext. 114.

As always, we encourage our families to share information about the upcoming Open House! A number of external factors, including potential full day Kindergarten in Nashua, area charter schools, and decreased birth rates make upcoming Admissions events like the Open House very, very important for keeping our school full of happy children! Please take a moment to talk with your friends on the ball field, or at dance class, or even at the gym about all the advantages that St. Christopher offers students and their families! Thank you!!

NEW! Junior Great Books Wrap-Up - Another great season of Junior Great Books is complete!  Thanks to our volunteers, Lisa Blanchard, Jessica Ackerman, Claire Evinson, and Lorrice Bedard for leading discussion groups for our twenty-five students.  If your child has not yet returned their JGB book, please send it in to the front desk this week.  Thank you!

LIBRARY NEWS!

BIRTHDAY BOOKS - So far this year we have close to 50 new birthday books! Thank you everyone for helping our library grow.  If you missed your child's birthday, have a birthday coming up in May, June or in the summer, and would like your child to choose a birthday book, please let me know.  I will be placing the birthday book order on May 15th to allow time for shipping, processing and most importantly to give your child a chance to check out their book.

RETURNING LIBRARY BOOKS - The last week to check out library books (except for book reports and projects) is the week of May 15th.  I am in the process of informing the students to try to find their "lost" books. All books (except for book reports and projects) must be returned by May 26th allow time for shelving and processing.
