June 14 12:30 PM….SUMMER VACATION!!!

Thank You! Another week full of thank you’s! So many wonderful people in our school community!

Open House Guides – Thanks so much to our parents and students who led tours at the Open House on Sunday! Our outstanding guides included Josh and Amelia Billingsley, David Savino, Katie, Caroline and Molly Graybill, and Beth, Todd, Lauren and Julia DeRego.

Open House Referrals – Speaking of the Open House, we’d like to thank all those who sent friends and family to see us on Sunday! A number of people mentioned that they had heard of the school from current families…thank you for spreading the word!

Walk to School – Thanks go out to the many, many parents who walked to school with us this morning! It was so fun to start our day with a little exercise and to show our school pride in the streets of Nashua! Check out the photos on Facebook HERE!

Sparky – Due to a schedule conflict, our regular Sparky was unable to attend the events this morning. But, fear not, we had a school spirit-filled student step up to take on the role for the morning! While we want to keep Sparky’s alter-identity super secret, we do want to thank him for helping us out!

The Bad News: Despite all of our finger crossing and weather checking, the outlook for Friday is looking mighty wet…so we are very sadly canceling Field Day. Booooo! And, unfortunately, a rain date is unavailable, thanks to a myriad of schedule conflicts beyond our control. Double Boooo!

The Good News: We ARE planning a fun afternoon program for all of the kids in the Church Hall! Hooray! Although we are still finalizing the details we can tell you:

-- Students should still wear their Free Dress class colors on Friday.

-- Lunch will still be served early, so lunch volunteers should plan on being here a half hour early.

-- All those wonderful parents who had volunteered to help us out at Field Day have earned themselves a free afternoon! The planned program does not require volunteer help, so everyone is free to go out for coffee…lucky you!

Admissions News:

We are knee deep in recruiting new families to join our school community for Fall 2017!  History shows that our current happy families are our best resource for bringing in new students and we’d love to partner with YOU in this effort! A number of external factors, including potential full day Kindergarten in Nashua, area charter schools, and decreased birth rates make upcoming Admissions efforts very, very important for keeping our school full of happy children! Please consider joining our Admissions efforts in any of the following ways:

Are you on Facebook? If so, share our Open House event on your page or on any community group pages you belong to! You can find the event on our school Facebook page HERE!

Share the good news – What YOU say about our school matters! Potential parents who are looking for a new school spend an enormous amount of time checking out reviews online and are looking to hear from other parents. Take a few minutes and leave a few positive words on any one (or more!) of these popular review websites:

Facebook (You’ll need to be signed in to Facebook first)

Private School Review

Great Schools

Google Reviews (You’ll need to be signed in to a Google account first)

Private Tours – Know someone who couldn’t make the May 21 Open House?  We love giving private tours to any family interested in joining the St. Chris community! Private tours with the wonderful Jackie Langenfeld can be scheduled for most any time the school is open and we LOVE to have prospective students visit us for a Shadow Day in the classroom! To arrange, please have the prospective families call Jackie at 882-774, ext. 114.

DESPERATE Help STILL Needed…Hot Lunch Volunteer Coordinator – Looking for a volunteer job that you can do from home but has a HUGE impact? We are in need of a Hot Lunch Volunteer Coordinator for the 2017-2018 school year! This position is responsible for scheduling Hot Lunch volunteers for the year, as well as communicating any important information to volunteers during the year. The current coordinator is unable to continue in the role, but is more than willing to train her replacement over the next couple of weeks so the Hot Lunch program is ready to roll in the Fall! If you are interested, please contact Marta at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . ASAP!

NEW! THIS WEEK! Hot Lunch EndsThis Friday, May 26, is the LAST day of Hot Lunch for the school year! Please be sure that your child brings a bag lunch from Tuesday, May 30 through the end of the school year! We will not have additional food available, so if a child neglects to bring his or her lunch to school, we will call a parent to bring a lunch to school.

Last Days of School – Who’s looking ahead to summer vacation? We are! We are! And we’ve set our dates for the last day of school!

  • PreK and Kdg will have their last day on Friday, June 9. This will be a half day.

NEW! Band and Fiddle Squad for Fall 2018 – Band Director David Bailey and Fiddle Squad Director Alison Bailey invite all students who will be in grades 3-6 in the Fall to consider joining Band and/or Fiddle Squad!
