June 14 12:30 PM….SUMMER VACATION!!!

Thank You! Lots of thank you’s for this week! We have soooo many wonderful people who are part of our community!

Book Fair – The Used Book and Uniform Fair was a tremendous success last week! Thanks so much to the Parent Group, coordinator Mary Woodward and her band of Book Fair elves who made it all happen! We love that so many children were able to take home a book…or ten…and our used uniforms have found new homes!

Amazon Smile Supporters – We received another quarterly refund from our Amazon Smile supporters…and have now received a total of $634.81 from the program! If you are an Amazon shopper, please consider benefitting the school by registering for Amazon Smile HERE and choosing St. Chris as your charity!

Chess Club – Many thanks to our Chess Club coordinators this year…Tal Murthy, Chris Parks, Deepa Chetlapalli, and Susette Parks. The kids had a great time and learned so much!

Teacher Appreciation – Thank you, too, to all those who brought in treats and gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week! And a special thank you to the Parent Group and organizers Jen Torosian, Beth DeRego, and Melissa Michels for the FABULOUS Teacher Appreciation Lunch today! Thanks, too, to all those who donated food and other items for the lunch, as well as those parents who “braved” the classrooms so teachers could enjoy the meal together! We are sooooo grateful!

Consecration to Mary – Special thanks to all of our parents for their cooperation in the multitude of instructions surrounding yesterday’s Consecration event! We know it was a complicated day, but everything went smoothly thanks to everyone’s help!

Living Rosary – Finally, thanks go to the Tyrrell family and the NH State Council of the Knights of Columbus for sharing the living rosary with our children this morning. It was a beautiful way to spend a beautiful morning!

THIS WEEK! NEW! Funerals -- St. Christopher Parish will be holding two funerals THIS Friday, May 19 at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM. Please do not park in the upper parking lot or in front of the church at any time on Friday so that funeral attendees will have easy access to the church. If you will be attending the school May Procession at 9:15 AM, you may park in the parking lot by the barn.

THIS WEEK! UPDATED! Spring Parish/School Mass and Coffee HourCome give thanks for the long-awaited Spring with your St. Chris friends at our annual Spring Parish/School Mass and Coffee Hour THIS Sunday, May 21 at 10:00 AM! Families from ALL parishes are invited to attend Mass and enjoy a coffee and donut afterwards. Students who attend Mass in school uniform will receive a Free Dress pass for the next day, May 22. During the mass, Fr. Kelley will bless the beautiful Marian banner that all of our children and faculty created with Senora Bichrest! This very special banner is a gift to the parish from the school and will hang in the church.

Admissions News:

We are knee deep in recruiting new families to join our school community for Fall 2017!  History shows that our current happy families are our best resource for bringing in new students and we’d love to partner with YOU in this effort! A number of external factors, including potential full day Kindergarten in Nashua, area charter schools, and decreased birth rates make upcoming Admissions efforts very, very important for keeping our school full of happy children! Please consider joining our Admissions efforts in any of the following ways:

THIS WEEK! Promote Our Open House for Prospective Students – We are so excited! The Spring Open House for Prospective Students will take place following the Parish/School Mass and Coffee Hour THIS Sunday, May 21, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM! If you know of someone who is interested in a St. Chris education for their child, this is a GREAT opportunity for them to stop in and take a look around! Our knowledgeable tour guides will show visitors around the school and Mrs. Clarke and many teachers will be available to answer any questions.  Parents are also welcome to escort any friends or family who are interested in attending the school…and give them the inside scoop on all things St. Chris! Pre-registration is not required for the Open House and it is on a drop-on basis, but parents are welcome to call Jackie Langenfeld for more information at 882-7442, ext. 114.

Are you on Facebook? If so, share our Open House event on your page or on any community group pages you belong to! You can find the event on our school Facebook page HERE!

Share the good news – What YOU say about our school matters! Potential parents who are looking for a new school spend an enormous amount of time checking out reviews online and are looking to hear from other parents. Take a few minutes and leave a few positive words on any one (or more!) of these popular review websites:

Facebook (You’ll need to be signed in to Facebook first)

Private School Review

Private Tours – Know someone who can’t make the May 21 Open House?  We love giving private tours to any family interested in joining the St. Chris community! Private tours with the wonderful Jackie Langenfeld can be scheduled for most any time the school is open and we LOVE to have prospective students visit us for a Shadow Day in the classroom! To arrange, please have the prospective families call Jackie at 882-774, ext. 114.

Fidget Spinners We’ve seen a large influx of students bringing the newest “in” thing to school…Fidget Toys. Because they are a toy, and toys are not allowed in school, please be sure that your child does not bring them to school at any time.
