Parents Group Meeting – The ever-enthusiastic Parents Group will meet this evening in the Church Hall at 7:00 p.m. New members are always welcome! This is a great way to get involved with the school and meet other parents. Please join us!

Thank you’s – This week’s thank you’s go out to John Kocsis and Richard Blais who constructed the“Stable/Candy Cane Lane” for our Christmas concerts. They went above and beyond our expectations and it is a wonderful addition to the programs! Also, we want to thank Sharon Hall for donating all of the wings for our angel costumes and Kathy Moraros for all her assistance in putting together the Fine Arts Christmas program tomorrow evening.

Fine Arts Christmas Festival – The Fine Arts program, including the Band, Chorus, and Drama Club will be putting on a very special Christmas Festival tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Church. In addition to the performance, the Church will be decorated with some Christmas-themed artwork created by every child in the school. These scenes are too precious to be missed! Please consider joining us, even if your child is not part of the performance.

Free Dress Day – Next week’s early dismissal day, Wednesday, December 23, will be a red, white and green dress down day in celebration of Christmas. Santa hats welcome!

Prayer Service – Also on Wednesday, December 23, 6E will be presenting a Christmas prayer service for all students. Please join us!

Registration for 2010-2011 – Registration and Financial Aid materials for the 2010-2011 school year will be distributed on January 4 when we return to school. The due date for all materials, including Financial Aid and Parish Support applications, as well as the $100 Registration Fee per child, is January 29. Please be prompt in returning your forms! We begin developing our budget in January based on the number of registrations we have received. Therefore, the more registrations that are returned, the lower tuition needs to be to cover our budgeted costs! In addition, after January 30 the Registration Fee will be raised to $125 (and $150 on March 8) and you will be ineligible for Parish Support, so you’ll want to be timely in order to save yourself some money! If you have questions about registration, please contact Jackie Langenfeld at ext. 115. Deb Carney, ext. 113, can answer any questions regarding Financial Aid. Thank you for your help!

School Procedures During Inclement Weather – With winter fast approaching, we would like to review the procedures followed in the event of inclement weather.  Notification of “no school”, “delayed school opening”, or “unscheduled early dismissal” due to weather conditions is announced on radio station WZID 95.7 FM and on TV channel 9 (WMUR). It is also posted on the school website at www.StChrisSchoolNH.org and the WZID and WMUR websites.  St. Christopher School follows the Nashua Public School System for all cancellations and delayed openings.

An automated phone call will also go out from the school between 5 and 6 AM.  If you do not want to be included in this phone notification process, please send a note into school and we will delete your phone number.

If there is a “delayed opening”, there will be no school for the AM Pre-Kindergarten. If there is a “delayed opening” on a scheduled early release day, there will be no school for all students.

On “delayed openings” school starts at 10:20 AM for all grades Full Day Pre-K through 6.  Doors will open at 10:00 AM. When there is a 90-minute delay for St. Christopher School, Before School Care will begin at 9:00 AM.

It is extremely important that you make arrangements for your child’s care in the event school is dismissed early when you are not at home, and it is important that your child and the school know what those arrangements are.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Jr. Great Books – Grades 2 thru 6 – It’s time to sign up for Jr. Great Books.  Students meet once a week for 10-12 weeks to discuss classic stories and folktales.  Day of the week will be determined based on students’ schedules.  Meetings are held from 8 to 8:30 AM.  If you have any questions, please contact Donna Noon at 424-0697 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Hot Lunch Reminder - Payment for January orders is due December 20th.

Hot Lunch Volunteers – Thank you for volunteering for the hot lunch program.  We appreciate your time and look forward to another successful year.  Volunteers are asked to arrive by 11:15 AM.  There is preparation that needs to be completed before serving begins.  Please bring a cap to wear (required by NH Dept. of Health).  We have aprons and gloves.  Also, it is essential that you find a substitute if you are unable to make your scheduled day.  Again, thank you very much for all your help and cooperation!
