June 24 Fr. Kelley's Retirement Mass -- 10:00 AM -- St. Christopher Church

Thank you! Clearly, we need to start this week’s thank you’s with a shout out to our fabulous Parent Group for the wonderful BBQ last week! This event takes much planning and hard work (especially in the heat and humidity last week!), but our parent volunteers did it all with a smile! Special thanks to Dave and Ellen Valade for their many years of dedication to the BBQ as they “hand the spatula” to Jeff and Mary Woodward!

Our PreK’s Lemonade and Popcorn stand was a HUGE success last week! So many thanks go to Mrs. Clarke and our PreK teachers for organizing the event, the parents who came in to pop popcorn, mix lemonade, and help our little “sales associates,” and all of those who either stopped in for a treat or sent money in with their student! The PreK will be donating $382.00 in sales to the Nashua Humane Society…thank you!

Yesterday’s Casual for a Cause Free Dress Day was also a big success! Our students donated $571 which will be sent the Catholic Medical Center’s Books for Babies program! Hooray!

And finally, thanks also go to Alicia Maffei, Jess Ackerman, Lisa Gropman, and Jamie Gregoire (and her mom Cindy!) for their help with the 1st grade ice cream social yesterday! The 1st grade students earned their special treat by having the highest bid on their classroom project at this year’s Auction!

Fr. Kelley Retirement -- Fr. Kelley recently announced that he will be retiring as pastor of St. Christopher Parish at the end of June. While we will miss having Fr. Bishop Libasci has announced that our new pastor will be Fr. David Harris, currently parochial vicar at St. Elizabeth Seton parish in Bedford. Fr. Harris is a graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, New Hampshire and Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. Before entering the seminary to pursue his calling to the priesthood, he worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, primarily in the offices of Senator John Sununu.  His seminary studies took place at Saint John’s Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts and he was ordained to the priesthood in 2017. Fr. Harris will assume responsibility for the parish and school on June 27. We look forward to working with Fr. Harris!
