Thank you! More thank you’s for our Corpus Christi Food Pantry collection…the Food Pantry reports that we collected 889.9 lbs for the Pantry last week! Wowza! That will help many hungry families in Nashua and is MUCH appreciated!

FRIDAY! Early Release – Don’t forget we have an Early Release THIS Friday, October 13! Students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM and there will be no After Care. All teachers will be attending a professional development workshop.

NEW! Staff Changes – Unfortunately, we must announce that Sandi McCabe and Chandra Arbuckle have made the difficult decision to leave their classroom positions. Sandi will be leaving for personal reasons and Chandra is pursuing other job opportunities. Both have been ardent supporters of the school, both as alumni parents and as staff members, and we appreciate their dedication over the years! The good news is that we will be seeing both of them around the school as volunteers, and Sandi will remain working in After Care as well as occasionally subbing.

We also welcome Jenn Lang to the staff as PreK aide in Mrs. Duffy’s class. Jenn has been involved in almost every aspect of the school over the years as a parent and volunteer and we are excited to have her in the classroom full-time! Nancy Garceau will be substituting as the aide in Ms. Jodrey’s class until a new aide is hired and we are most appreciative of her help!

Crazy Mrs. Clarke/Spirit Day -- By beating our school goal, we earned our Crazy Mrs. Clarke/Spirit Day, which has been scheduled for Thursday, October 26! All students are invited to wear their spirit wear (or blue and white) that day instead of the usual uniforms. Spirit wear includes the Husky Pride Spirit shirts (see below to order online if you need one!), or cross country/basketball/drama/lego/etc shirts. Blue and/or white shirts are also welcome! Jeans are permitted for the day, too!

The winner of the contest will be determined by the number of votes cast online…the voting has begun HERE and will continue through THIS Friday, October 13th! Voters are allowed to cast one vote every 24 hours with each vote counting as one point. To earn five bonus points, voters may take a selfie with the scarecrow and post it on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #downtownscarecrows and it will earn our scarecrow 5 bonus points!
