Thank you! This week’s thank you goes to parents, alumni and friends who have sent in Auction donations already! Receiving the donations early helps us in our planning and it is greatly appreciated! Special thanks go to the McGrade family who have been solicitors extraordinaire so far this year and secured seven new donations from local businesses for us! Thank you!

UPDATED! Auction News! Speaking of the Auction…. the 14th Annual St. Christopher School Auction… “Under the Sea: Dive into St. Chris”…will take place on March 24, 2018! We are currently looking for item donations, program advertisements, and sponsors for this amazing event. This is a great opportunity for businesses to reach over 250 potential patrons! Ask your barber, talk with your dry cleaner, reach out to your dog groomer….almost any local business is happy to participate! Businesses can get involved through:

Item Donations – Item donations are at the heart of the evening’s action! We need over 200 items to make the night a success! Businesses are welcome to send along business cards, brochures, or other information for display with any item they may donate.

Sponsorships -- Sponsorships run from $250 to $5,000 and include many perks, like Auction tickets and at-event promotions.

Advertising -- Program advertising runs from $50 to $250. Every Auction attendee receives a program for the evening. Because the program describes EVERY Live Auction item in detail, these are guaranteed to be read by everyone!

If you need an Auction information packet to pass along to a local business, you can download the Auction packet HERE or contact Marta at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for a printed copy.  Thank you!

Financial Aid Applications for 2018-2019 – Applications for Financial Aid for the 2018-2019 school year are now open. All oldest and only students were sent home with a packet of information regarding the Financial Aid process before Christmas vacation. The packet can also be accessed HERE. Please read the information carefully. All families interested in financial aid MUST follow the packet instructions or aid will not be given.

UPDATED! Special Note: Financial aid from the Children’s Scholarship Fund is awarded on a first come, first served basis, so parents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to maximize their award potential!

NEW! THIS WEEK! Patriot Free Dress Day – Hooray for our New England Patriots as they advance to this week’s AFC Divisional Playoff! By popular student and faculty request, Mrs. Clarke has decreed that this Friday, January 12, will be a Patriot’s Free Dress Day in support of our “hometown” team! All students are welcome to wear their Patriots gear or red/white/blue (and in the spirit of good sportsmanship, students who support another NFL team are welcome to wear their team’s gear, too!). Please keep all regular Free Dress guidelines in mind.

NEW! Computer Programming Class -- Computer Programming Class introduces students to computer programming through the Scratch programming environment. This class is for beginners -- no previous programming experience is required! Programming will meet Wednesday mornings at 7:30 in the Computer Lab. This eight-week session begins Wednesday, January 24, and will run through March 21. This class is open to 4th through 6th graders on a first-come basis. Space is limited. There is a $10 fee for this class. Sign-up by January 24 (or until class is filled) HERE.

2018-2019 Registration – All parents of students currently in grades 2 through 5 have been sent an email with a link to the registration form for 2018-2019. (Due to volume constraints on our system’s email system, the link was sent to whoever is listed on the student online registration as the “primary” contact. Please contact Marta at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if another parent should receive the registration information.) The online registration form must be completed and submitted for these students by January 31, along with a $160 registration fee to be paid online at the time of registration. Please know that students whose registrations are returned after that date will not be guaranteed a seat for next year.

UPDATED! Special Note: Parents often ask why registration occurs so early in the school year….good question! The primary reason is to help the school create a realistic budget for the coming year, including a reasonable tuition rate. Our budget is due to the Diocese in mid winter and we must base this budget on the current number of confirmed registrations for the upcoming year. By registering early, we can accurately portray how many students will be enrolled and then set the tuition accordingly to meet our anticipated costs. So, in essence, by registering early, our parents help themselves by keeping tuition rates at a reasonable level! We appreciate all those who help us with this process!

UPDATED! Annual Fund Over 110 donors have contributed to the Annual Fund so far this year…..thank you to all who have donated! Donations have ranged from $1 up to $2,500 and we are grateful for each and every gift!  All donations, no matter the size, are important, so we ask you to prayerfully consider supporting the Annual Fund at whatever financial level you are comfortable. We’d love to have 100% participation from our families! Support of the Annual Fund on a yearly basis is vital to providing the ongoing high academic standards of St. Chris…it is what allows us to go above and beyond and nurture our students to become lifelong learners and leaders!

Donations may be sent to the school with your child or mailed to the school . You can also make donations online on the school website HERE. Donations that are submitted by March 31will appear in our Honor Roll of Donors in the summer News and Notes newsletter. Join this fine group of St. Chris supporters…donate today!

NEW! Attention All Woodworkers! -- Our Kindergarten is in need of a simple flat wooden frame (that will eventually hold a mirror) for their Auction project! (see sample HERE) If you can help with this request, please contact Marta at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Thanks!

Hot Lunch Ordering – Don’t forget that Hot Lunch ordering for February on Boonli.com is open! As usual, we cannot accept orders past midnight on January 15, so don’t be late!

UPDATED! Special Note: The Hot Lunch offered for Ash Wednesday, February 14, is Apple Pancakes and Sausage. Please know that sausage will not be served that day in observance of Ash Wednesday norms. A replacement side will be included.

TONIGHT! Parent Group Meeting Our awesome Parent Group will be meeting TONIGHT, January 10 at 6:30 PM to plan upcoming events and ALL are welcome and encouraged to attend! This group is responsible for so many of our terrific community events during the year and they are looking for additional ideas and helpers. Please join us!

Winter Fine Arts Festival – Our student musicians and artists have been hard at work preparing the Winter Fine Arts Festival scheduled for January 18 at 6:30 PM and they can’t wait to share their talents! Our bands, Fiddle Squads, and choruses will all perform and student artwork will be displayed during the event. All are invited to attend, including those who do not yet have a student involved in one of the musical programs…this is a great way for parents and students (especially in younger grades) experience all that our Fine Arts programs have to offer!

School/Parish Mass and Coffee Hour – Please join our school and parish family on Sunday, January 28 at the 10:00 AM mass, followed by a Coffee Hour immediately after! This is a great time to reconnect with friends after the busy holiday season! All students who attend mass in uniform will receive a Free Dress pass for Tuesday, February 6.

Open Houses for Prospective Families – Start spreading the word! We will be holding two Open Houses for prospective families in January and we’d love to fill the halls with new friends! The first Open House will take place on Sunday, January 28 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, immediately following our Parish/School Mass and Coffee Hour. The second Open House will take place on Tuesday, January 30 from 9:30-11:00 AM. Please share with friends and family!

NEW! Free National Park Passes for 4th Grade Students and Families Did you know that 4th grade students and their families can receive free access to 2000+ federally managed lands and waters? The Every Kid in a Park program is an interagency program supported by eight federal agencies that provides free access to more than 2,000 federally-managed sites within a one-hour driving distance of their home. For more information, click HERE!

Winter School Delays and Cancellations – In the case of inclement weather, school cancellations or delays will be posted on the website, on our Facebook page, on radio station WZID 95.7 FM and also on TV channel 9 (WMUR). Parents will also receive text messages on their cell phones, voice messages on home phones, and emails through our Notify system.

Please note that our Notify system is not foolproof….power and internet outages may interfere with delivery of the text messages, robocalls, and voice messages. We will post the information on the school website and Facebook, as well as on WMUR, as soon as possible. Please also know that we do not post school delays or closings until we receive confirmation from the appropriate administrator in the Nashua public schools, which may delay notification in some cases. Thank you for your understanding!

St. Christopher School follows the Nashua Public School System for all cancellations and delayed openings. Therefore, delayed openings are 2 hours. When there is a delayed opening, there is no school for the AM Pre-K. Before Care will take place starting at 9:00 AM and morning enrichment activities will begin 2 hours later than normally scheduled. Please note that there will be NO Band or Fiddle Squad on delayed openings. Doors are open for regular drop-off at 10:30 AM and school starts at 10:50 AM for all grades Full Day Kindergarten through 6.

St. Christopher Parish – Wondering what’s going on at St. Christopher Parish? Check out their website and weekly bulletin online at StChrisParishNH.org! Fr. Kelley welcomes and encourages all families to attend mass at St. Chris and to get involved in the parish!

Morning Mass: Did you know that St. Christopher Parish offers the earliest daily mass in the city? Start your day at 7:15 AM with the Lord at St. Chris! This mass does not include music, so it is usually a bit shorter than a Sunday mass. Kids and families are more than welcome to attend!

NEW! IJS Comedy Night Infant Jesus School is sponsoring a comedy night at Chunky's on Thursday, February 15th, at 7:00 PM and all are invited! The evening features comedians Paul Landwehr, Tom Hayes, and Rob Steen. Tickets are $20 and are available from Karla Black at IJ at 889-1191 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
