IMG_6770Hola,

March (marzo), leon (lion) y cordero (lamb).

This month we are going to continue learning about subject pronouns or personal pronouns in Spanish. To this we are adding regular, action verbs ending in -ar, -er, -ir. (links for the videos at the end of the page).

We also are going to be learning about Lent (Cuaresma) in the Spanish-Speaking countries. We will compare the celebrations and traditions of these countries with the ones in the United States.

Happy Spring (Feliz Primavera)

Hasta pronto,

Sra. B.

¿Qué pasa a Cookie? What happens to Cookie?

Hola,

Cookie is a cat (gata) that gets into trouble every day of the week (cada día de la semana). The children in KB have a great time creating pictures to represent What happens to Cookie? ( ¿Qué pasa a Cookie?). I enjoyed listening to the kids sharing the stories about  ¿Qué pasa a Cookie? I know you will love these pictures too.

Hasta pronto,

señora B.

February (febrero)

Hola,

Happy Catholic School Week!  Feliz Semana de las Escuelas Católicas.

This month the STEM bolletin board is going to have information in Spanish. Stop and take a look!

We are going to do a little experiment about static electricity with paper hearts. This is related to STEM.

Thank you to Mrs. Brown's class for singing the months of the year in English and Spanish. I enjoyed it very much!

We continue learning the days and the months in Spanish. The kids love to do the Macarena dance for the month of the year.

We are also reviewing the Spanish- speaking countries, and practicing some salsa and merengue dance.

The Spanish Rosary was wonderful! Gracias chicos y chicas.

Hasta pronto,

Sra. B.
