February News

The snowy days and the vacation during this month meant that we had fewer school days, but we did get many important things done.

Grade Five Social Studies students completed their state posters.  They are on display in our hallway and in the library.  Great job, Grade Five!

Grade Six Social Studies students completed their alphabet books on a country in Europe.  The results were amazing.  These projects will be displayed in the glass case in the lobby for the next few weeks.  A Plus and Beyond work, Grade 6!

We are almost finished reading My Side of the Mountain as a class.  We have completed several writing and art activities for this book

Ash Wednesday was the beginning of Lent.  We will complete several special activities in class during this holy season.  We will also join the rest of the school each Friday for Stations of the Cross at St. Christopher Church.

Please keep practicing those weekly spelling words at home using spellingcity.com.  The written lesson is due each Thursday.  The test is given on Friday.  Congratulations to 6W classmate Charlene for winning the St. Christopher School Spelling Bee!  It was the second year in a row that Charlene won this event.  We are so proud of you.

Stay safe and warm!
