Fall Health Information

Did you know that getting an annual flu vaccine is the first and best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu?

The vaccine can reduce illness, doctor's visits and school/work absences due to the flu.  Flu sympotms come on quickly and may include sore throat, fever, headache, muscle aches and soreness, conjestion and cough.  Over the counter medications to treat or ease the symptoms, as well as anti-viral prescriptions, may be used in some cases.

As a friendly reminder, I would also like to ask you to remind your child(ren) not to share hats, sports helmets, combs, hairbrushes or the like, for risk of contracting head lice which tends to be very contagious. I have attached a link below you may find helpful regarding further information on this topic.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Wishing you all a healthy Fall and Thanksgiving season.

Gloria Sheehan, RN
