Patty Donovan, mother of Daniel Donovan, writes 1st grade teacher Marilyn Moore that Daniel is finishing his last semester of college at Regis University in Denver. He is a computer science major. Although Daniel and his family moved to Dallas before he could graduate, Patty says that she wanted to thank Mrs. Moore for “all you did for Daniel and to let you know that your guidance, perspective and love impacted each of us and continue to serve as models.”

The O’Malley family certainly has great acting genes! Mike ’78 and Kerry ’81 have both made names for themselves in the entertainment business. Other TV credits include Yes, Dear and My Name is Earl, while he also appeared in movies like The Perfect Man, Leatherheads, Meet Dave, and a current role in the ensemble cast of Glee on Fox. In 2006, Mike gave the commencement speech at his college alma mater, the University of New Hampshire.

Sincere thanks go out to Bob Dunbar ’58 who gave a significant donation towards the new playground being built at the school in the Spring of 2009. A resident of Arizona now, Bob tells us that he and the rest of the very first St. Christopher graduating class – as well as teacher Sr. Gregory -- are still in touch after 50 years! Now that’s an alumni connection!

Eliza Gettel ’02 received a full scholarship to College of the Holy Cross. The Bean Scholarship is awarded to only one student per year in the Classics Department. Eliza was also Salutorian for the Bishop Guertin class of 2008.

Two alumni, Rob Lembree ’76 and Nick Dahl ’79, are serving as members of the St. Christopher School Advisory Board. They are joined by Carol Fiore Laplante, wife of Joe Laplante ’77. The School Board advises Principal Jack Daniels P’83 (himself an alumni parent!) in fulfilling the mission of the school. This includes work in the areas of admissions, marketing, capital improvements, and budgets. In addition, Rob serves as the Chairperson of the St. Christopher Church Parish Council.

Grace Zanichkowsky Weber ’69 stopped by the school for a quick tour recently on her way to a reunion with her Mount St. Mary classmates. Grace tells us that she is living in Weybridge, Vermont.

Robert Clark ’86 has graduated with his doctorate in anthropology from Yale University this past June. He says of Yale, “It is another excellent school in a long line of them, beginning with St. Chris.” We’re in good company!
