February Principal Letter

heart_1Dear Parents and Friends of St. Christopher School,

This winter started off somewhat kind to us!  Even though the darkness and cold can sometimes take its toll, be reassured that spring’s light is but a few months away.  In the meantime, we dress warmly and head outside for some winter fun.  Skating, skiing and sledding with the children lift the darkness and gets us through.  I’ve always felt that seeing the world through our children’s eyes gives us a way to create our own light even in the darkest of times.  Hence, regardless of the season, the Light shines; God is in our midst.

I am thrilled to report that many interested families attended our Open Houses held in January.  We are still doing tours each week.  We would like to thank you for your support in promoting St. Christopher School among your friends, neighbors and acquaintances.  Your contributions to the school community never go unnoticed and are our treasure!

For current families, if you have not registered your child or paid your registration fee, please do so immediately so that we can secure your spot for next year. We have already opened up registrations to new families.

Our after school Ski Program at Crotchet Mountain has begun.  The students have really been enjoying themselves and are a pleasure to be with!  I joined the group last Friday and the kids were having a blast!  We would like to thank our coordinators, Tara Canaway and Meghan McCarthy for their never ending hard work and dedication.  We would also like to thank our chaperone Mrs. Litch and the many parents who ski along with their children.

“Catholic Schools Week” is in full swing!  Keep your eyes on the Catholic Schools Week  schedule.  It is loaded with fun activities!!

Recognized for leading the school community in January’s Morning Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance are: Jenna Frost, Kate Berrigan , Christina Juris and Gabrielle Martin.

In the spirit of Catholic Schools, the St. Christopher school community nurtures students’ minds, bodies, hearts, and souls.  With your support, the Light shines!!!!

Thank you and God Bless!
