May Principal Letter

“The fruit of silence is prayer, the fruit of prayer is faith, the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of love is

service, the fruit of service is peace.” – Mother Teresa

flowerDear Parents and Friends of Saint Christopher School,

The month of May is a time in our church and school when we honor our Blessed Mother, Mary. This will be done in a most beautiful way by continuing the tradition of the crowning of Mary Friday, May 19th beginning at 9:15 am with a procession from School to Church.

This month also begins in a most appropriate way, honoring our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 8th – 12th.  We are blessed to have an amazing faculty, all of whom are dedicated, hard-working, and faith-filled.  If you have the time, send your child’s teacher a note of appreciation!  Kind words go a long way!

Tuitions Packets: Tuition Agreement packets will be going home as soon as our Budget is approved.

What a busy months March and April have been.  Here are the highlights:

The Auction – was so much fun!  Our auctions are always exciting, and this one was very special.  I can’t thank you enough for coming together to support St. Chris. I would also like to recognize the Auction Committee and its Chairpersons Tricia Casey, Faby Gagne for providing us with such a well organized, fun-filled, and most lucrative evening.  The love we have for our students and our school was evident in that room.  Thank you for your support!  It was magical!

The Drama Club’s production of The Lion King – was amazing!  The enormous cast of students from grades three through six enthralled the audience.  For their dedication, cooperation, creativity, and delivery, the actors and stage crew are to be commended.  The singing was superb and it highlighted the fact that our students are becoming fine actors and actresses!  Hats off to our very own Laura Daigle the Director of the Drama Club and Rebecca Fessenden, Stage Crew Coordinator, for their vision and innumerable hours of dedication, as well as their hours of work on costumes and other added duties.  Words could never express how grateful I am for their service.  To the many other volunteers who took time out of their busy lives to assist……thank you from the bottom of my heart!

First Grade Paraliturgy – was outstanding this year.  Everyone was amazed and proud of our first graders reading ability.  This is a testament to Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Allen and all of their hard work preparing our first graders for 2nd grade.

Recognized for leading the school community in this month’s Morning Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance are the following students: Cate Tyrrell and Ella Graham

Important upcoming events:

Project Safeguard 6th graders – Tuesday, May 9th

Used Book Sale – Friday, May 12th

May Crowning – May 19th

Open House for new students – Sunday, May 21st

For all of your continued support and dedication, I thank you!

God Bless!
